Overview

Help celebrate America's 250th Anniversary with FREEWALKERS, by walking 250 miles this year.

Join FREEWALKERS in celebrating America's Semiqincentennial. Walk 250 miles this year in honor of the 250th anniversary of Independence. You can amass those miles at any of our FW events or you may walk on your own. As this is a new challenge, these are the particulars:

  • Attend one FW event in person (unless you do not live in the DC/Philly/NYC areas)
  • One of your walks should have a Revolutionary War theme or location (e.g. Jockey Hollow, Valley Forge, Monmouth Battlefield)
  • One walk should be the week of the 4th of July
  • If walking on your own, distance should be at least 3 miles
  • Please complete the 91¹ú²ú registration, this will facilitate communication with participants throughout the year
  • We got a late start on this, so yes you can retroactively include miles already walked beginning January 1, 2026
  • When you have completed 250, notify us and we will see that you get a 250 FW commemorative swag
