Join the and for a fun-filled afternoon chalk-in. Open to participants of all ages, this program celebrates the 250th of America's founding! Families, friends, and art lovers alike are invited to gather on the F Street sidewalk in front of the National Portrait Gallery for some colorful summer fun.

Enjoy interactive chalk games, create your own chalk portraits, and soak in the lively atmosphere. Special guest, the DowntownDC BID, will also be there with DJ Harry Hotter and an ice cream cart to keep everyone cool!

Afterward, join us in the museum's Kogod Courtyard for more chalk fun during the concert series!

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Indoor "Take 5: Jazz at SAAM" program with the Smithsonian American Art Museum
