The Granville Center for the Arts is a hub of artistic exploration and expression located in the heart of downtown Granville, Ohio. We provide a home for painters, sculptors, makers, writers, poets, performers, and all lovers of the arts. From workshops and artist talks to theatrical performances and printmaking clubs, our diverse range of offerings allows everyone to find their own creative voice. We've curated a space that's bursting with inspiration and possibility. Our community gallery cultivates creativity and imagination, showcasing exceptional rotating exhibits and events. The gallery doubles as an intimate performance venue, and our artist library, gathering space, and creative think tank offer endless opportunities to collaborate, experiment, and explore.

Join us for our monthly Improv Club for an opportunity to make new friends and explore the world of improv through fun, cooperative games and exercises guaranteed to promote laughter and creativity. No experience is necessary to attend, and advanced improvisers are welcome to come and “get some reps” in as well!The Improv Club meets monthly in the Granville Center for the Arts gallery. This club is free, open to all ages and experience levels, and includes complimentary drinks.

About the Host/Teacher:Ali Rafter is a multi-award-winning actress, a graduate of UCLA's School of Theatre, Film, and Television, and the founding director of Improv School Redlands, located in Southern California. She has been doing improv for over three decades and has trained with The Groundlings, Impro Los Angeles, The Nest, as well as performing with the hilarious comedy improv team, "Tastes Like Burning." She has produced two completely original comedy sketch shows as well as dozens of other plays, concerts, and stand-up events. Ali is committed to creating safe spaces for people of all ages to engage in creative expression and loves to witness the joy, growth, and healing that improv can spark.
