<h3>Join us for our January Virtual Lunchtime Lecture - “If We Know Exercise Is So Helpful, Why Don't We Move More?”</h3><h3> </h3>Dr. John Bartholomew will present some of the epidemiological evidence for the benefits of exercise. He will then discuss the psychology of behavior to help explain why people often begin but do not maintain an exercise program. He will finish with suggestions for ways to better achieve your exercise goals.Texas Exes, a non-profit organization, is excited to bring our virtual Lunchtime Lectures to you free of charge. <h3>Meet the Guest Speaker: Dr. John Bartholomew</h3>Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, College of EducationProfessor, Department of Kinesiology and Health EducationJohn Bartholomew graduated with a BA in psychology from Harvard University, where he was a three-year letter winner on the varsity football team. He then earned a PhD in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Arizona State University. He came to The University of Texas in 1996 and lives in Round Rock, TX with his wife, Pam, and daughters, Blair and Emma.
