Impress
Impress is a New York–based independent artist whose music blends Pop, Gospel, Classical, House, and R&B into a contemporary new sound. Their career began at age 9, singing and arranging on their grandmother, gospel singer Mary Morrow’s, studio album. They made history with their Broadway debut in Aladdin as the youngest and first non-binary performer to portray the Genie, and were later written into Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt at the request of Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond. Their original music features soaring vocals, infectious melodies, and dance-driven beats, reflecting their musical roots. Impress has performed at major New York venues including Ars Nova, Lincoln Center, City Winery, National Sawdust, and 3 Dollar Bill. Their upcoming EP, Hedonism, drops this month.
