Martha's Table Youth Summit

Four decades ago, Martha’s Table opened our doors to children in need of a safe place and a warm meal after school. Over the years, we have evolved to meet the changing needs and growing aspirations of our communities. Today, Martha's Table works in deep collaboration with our neighbors to deliver on our mission to support strong children, strong families, and strong communities in the District of Columbia. We do so by providing a holistic range of services focused on high-quality education, health and wellness, family supports, and community investments that help our neighbors, particularly those in Wards 7 and 8, move from instability to thriving.

(﻿NOTE: Same day registration is available)Join Martha’s Table on Saturday, October 14 for our very first Youth Summit. Residents of Ward 8 (Zip Codes 20020 and 20032) aged 14-19 are invited to spend the day at the Commons on Elvans Road to discuss the future of Martha’s Table older-youth programming. What are the biggest challenges facing older youth in Ward 8 today? What existing organizations help Ward 8 teenagers to thrive? How can Martha’s Table support them, and support you, to ensure long-term success? If these questions sound interesting to you, we would love your presence at the very first Martha’s Table Youth Summit. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as transportation to and from the Martha’s Table Commons. At the end of the day, all participants will also be entered into a raffle to win one of several large prizes!Additional Details-Breakfast and lunch provided-Transportation provided-Must be 14-19 years old and a resident of Ward 8-All participants will be entered in a raffle at the end of the day to win one of several large prizes
