OPA! Festa Junina 2026

A full-day Brazilian cultural extravaganza at House of Yes

You heard about Carnaval, but did you know that every June, Brazil transforms into a month-long celebration? Communities come together to celebrate one of the country's most beloved and lively traditions: Festa Junina (June Party)—a harvest festival woven from Indigenous, African, and Portuguese roots, alive in every corner of Brazil every June. Centuries of joy, community, and folklore collide in the most colorful way possible. Think: accordion music drifting through a lantern-lit space, the smell of traditional food, people dancing forró, plaid and ribbon costumes, and the kind of warmth you feel when a whole room decides, together, to celebrate. So once again, the Brazilian theater company brings Festa Junina to House of Yes!

The event is family-friendly from 3 to 6 PM — children under 12 enter free when accompanied by a legal guardian. The event is 21+ after 6 PM.
