Join our Painting & Drawing Club with amazing local artist Julie York! Whether you're just starting out or have been creating art for years, this club is a welcoming, supportive space to enjoy making art together. Julie will be available to teach you acrylic and oil painting techniques, color mixing, brush skills, and more.

We provide all the essentials—paper, paints, brushes, mini canvases, and more. Feel free to bring your own sketchbook and supplies, too!

This is a free drop-in, no-pressure club where you can connect with fellow artists and discover the true joy of creating art. Complementary snacks and drinks will be provided!

Meet the club host:

Julie York is an accomplished ELA high school teacher for grades 9-12, completing her Master's in art Education. As a mother of two and an identical twin, Julie draws inspiration from her family and community. She has rekindled her passion for art through various adult classes, focusing on mediums like charcoal, acrylics, and oils. Julie is particularly interested in art for social justice and exploring the intersection of literature and life.
