Safari Wine Tours in Fredericksburg Texas. A truly unique experience. Head to Fredericksburg Texas for the top rated tour in town! A driver will shuttle you via tram as you meet and possibly interact with and feed Kangaroos, Zebra, Capybara and Alpacas! You will see Giraffe, Camels, Goats, Sheep, Deer, Ostrich, Lemurs and a whole lot more. If you want to experience a Giraffe Interaction on the tour, you can do so by purchasing online! These animals are part of the family and many have been rescued.

This Safari Wine Tour experience is hosted at both The Bankersmith Boil Shack and Grapetown Vineyard and Farm (true hidden gems in Fredericksburg and part of the same property and family farm), you will get a behind the scenes look at the operations and interactions of a working farm and animal sanctuary! Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time for registration at 7905 Old San Antonio Road, the Bankersmith Boil Shack. You will receive your wristbands here. You will be given grain to feed our family of pygmy and nigerian dwarf goats, alpacas and even a pig that live on site! You will also receive a complimentary Sangria Ticket (Value $14) to be used at the Bankersmith Boil Shack after your Safari Wine Tour at Grapetown Vineyard and Farm. There is live music at the Boil Shack 12PM-3PM and also 6PM-9PM. We also welcome you to join us for lunch or dinner before and/or after your tour! Once you are registered and are done loving on our Boil Shack critters you will head over to our sister location, Grapetown Vineyard and Farm! 

Across the street, Grapetown Vineyard and Farm is a beautiful winery with the rare luxury of a Full Bar! You will therefore be able to enjoy great wines plus beer and even cocktails before and after your tour. Here, you will get a behind the scenes look at the complex operations and interactions of a working ranch and animal sanctuary! A trained Animal Care Professional will shuttle you via our Zebra Tram on a behind-the-scenes tour of our exotic wildlife and ranch operations. You will see animals like Camels, Zebra, Giraffe, Capybara, Kangaroo, Ostrich, Lemur, Alpacas, Bison, Longhorn and more! Remember, please be on time.

In total, the complete tour lasts approximately 2 hours, yet many guests spend the day enjoying both properties. You are free to roam the grounds and enjoy our small piece of heaven right here in the Texas Hill Country!

Remember, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.

Remember, this is a working ranch deep in the Texas Outback. Dress appropriately (no open toed shoes, flip flops) and apply caution as you enter the property. Drive slowly on property and stay in your vehicle until you are parked at the Grapetown Vineyard Tasting Room. Loose livestock (and our staff) roam the property. Please drive carefully. The tour starts at the the Bankersmith Boil Shack (7905 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg Texas 78624) and is across the street from Grapetown Vineyard and Farm (8142 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg Texas 78264).

*** This Wine Tour is NOT held at Safari Winery. Do NOT go to Safari Winery. As clearly printed elsewhere, this tour starts at the Boil Shack at 7905 Old San Antonio Road and continues at Grapetown Vineyard at 8142 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg Texas 78624. Again, do NOT go to Safari Winery.

Please remember to tip your Tour Guide as they truly work very hard and appreciate knowing you enjoyed your tour.

Please be on time, and by that we mean 30 minutes early for your TOUR. We cannot wait on you, as it holds up the entire group!

There are absolutely no refunds under any conditions.

Much of the tour is not wheelchair and handicap accessible, unfortunately as a farm/ranch our areas are gravel or grass so parts of the garden may be missed if the wheelchair can't cross gravel. Email us and we can work to provide you with a private tour or make arrangements in advance.

There are absolutely no refunds for any reason. If you miss the tour we will not issue a refund. Instead we will issue you passes for a future tour.

NO PETS ALLOWED

Newborns being carried are free, but children walking or in strollers (including newborns) must have a ticket.
