Saint Albans Jazz Collab
Saint Albans Jazz Collab - May 30th, 2026
Join us for a momentous occasion on Saturday, May 30th at 7:30 PM EST. This special evening features the Saint Albans Jazz Collab—cdzԲ Ed Jackson (Sax), Jack Glottman (Piano), Gerald M Thomas (Bass), and Dave Picton (Drums)—along with special guest Eddie Allen on trumpet. This event will showcase an incredible tribute to the jazz tradition as we honor 100 years of the genius and lasting legacy of the legendary Miles Davis.
The Jackson Room, which is located in the heart of historical Queens, happens to be in the neighborhood where founder Ed Jackson grew up. This particular area of Queens in the town of St. Albans was home to an uncanny number of musicians including Count Basie, Fats Waller, Illinois Jacquet, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lenny White to name a few. In fact, John Coltrane lived on Mexico Street which is just a few blocks away from the venue. The Jackson Room's mission is to bring jazz back to the community where founder Ed Jackson grew up.
