Sculpt and Paint a Daruma Doll (2-Part Class) | Jake Willwerth, instructor
Sculpt your own clay Japanese good luck charm!
Daruma dolls are good luck charms in Japanese culture. They start with blank white eyes – when you have a wish, you fill in a pupil on one eye. When the wish comes true, you fill in the other eye!
In the first session of this two-part class, we will sculpt Daruma dolls out of oven-bake clay. In the second session, we will paint our dolls with traditional designs. As a final touch, we will make a wish and fill in one eye!
