Writers and storytellers: join us for Tales From Our World: Inspiring Climate Narratives, a free virtual event on May 27, 2026, presented by the NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship in partnership with the Redford Center. The event is designed to inspire and equip writers applying to the NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellowship with practical narrative tools to inspire people- and community-centered stories engaging with climate and environmental themes. 

• The Redford Center will offer a presentation to demonstrate how real-world, community solutions-driven nonfiction can spark rich fictional narratives without falling into tech-savior or lone-hero tropes. 
• The workshop will feature a case study spotlighting Bring Them Home / Aiskótáhkapiyaaya (2024), an Emmy nominated documentary narrated and executive produced by Lily Gladstone. 
• You’ll also hear from NRDC’s Rewrite the Future, The Black List and 2025 NRDC Climate Storytelling Fellow Yasir Masood. 

The workshop will be recorded and shared as an open resource to support long-term field building
