I am a lay historian who has been studying the Salem Witch-Hunts and the Wildes Family for almost 10 years. The role of Ephraim Wildes, who was a law enforcement officer in 1692, the year his own mother was wrongfully convicted for the Capital crime of Witchcraft, is one of love and honor. The way he defended his Mom serves as a testament to how he loved and honored his wife, Mary Howlett until his own death in 1725.
